Not really Furry, but it's an awesome image and a character I made for an RP I'm pretty fuckin' proud of.

♕ SIGNED: Yoshiya Usagiri
♛ AGE: 15
♕ SOUL GEM: Pink. The emblem on the gem's golden casing is a crowned heart.
♛ ABILITY: Yoshiya is able to remember his brother, Satoshi, as a result of his wish, despite his having died as a Druid.
He has a Red String as his 'weapon'. It represents the bonds he forms with his comrades. The string cannot be broken, and can move however he wishes via telekinesis. It's best used for immobilizing and lassoing targets.
He is able to bond together the magics of his comrades. This requires a legitimate emotional bond, but the connection would allow the sharing of magic along with the ability to shift Grief around through consenting Soul Gems, detailed below.
♕ DOWNFALL: Aside from the Red String, he does not have a weapon, meaning he does not have any innate offensive abilities.
He can only bond with people he has a legitimate emotional connection to. He cannot just Bond at will or for convenience, and can only bond with ten people, one for each finger. Sharing around powers increases the Grief generated because it's the original spells plus his own magic at work. Moving Grief around has no cost if moved to himself, because his sacrifice is its own price.
His magic binds people together, increasing certain attributes such as the range of existing telepathy, and also allows Puella Magi and Druids he's connected with to "loan" each other their powers or transmit them through each other. He may also move grief between consenting Soul Gem owners to lighten each other's loads, though transmitting it to anyone but himself causes his own Grief to increase, creating a net-gain, and thus preventing abuse.
♛ BIO: Yoshiya Usagiri was as normal as it got in the new world. His only family was his big brother, the 17-year old Satoshi Usagiri. They had settled in the city of the Renegades, since his recently-contracted brother did not trust Oriko's rule. Not after their parents died in the Outskirts to a Witch attack, and the Capitol's forces did nothing.
"I will never let this happen again. I will protect people with my own power...with my every breath!" That was the wish his brother made. He was so proud of him. He idolized him. He loved him.
He really...loved him.
He encouraged his brother every step of the way. Don't worry, I'll be fine. Your home will be here for you when you return! He worked hard in the city of the Renegades, trying his best to run a meager farm to provide food for everyone, and keeping a warm and clean home his brother could always return to.
And because those were the happiest days of his life, it drew from his heart the most earnest wish he could muster. On that day, when his tears mixed with the rain, his brother suffered fatal injuries his magic could not heal from. His Soul Gem was too dark.
"Onii-chan, Onii-chan, open your eyes! Don't leave me alone! I'll have nothing to remember you by! I don't want to forget you! I don't want to forget everything you've done for me! Even if you die, I don't want to be alone!"
"Is that wish worth your very soul?" The voice of the familiar Incubators, whom had visited his brother before. "I'd hurry. Your brother's breathing will stop soon, Yoshiya Usagiri." And then his memory, and his wish, would die...
He made his decision with no hesitation. "I want to amend what I said. Just a bit."
"Then proceed."
"I don't want to forget the Druids or Puella Magi I might come to know. I don't want what they've done to come to nothing. Even if it's only me, I want to remember them, and I want to keep their hopes alive in my heart. I'll protect their wishes and their memory."
A warm, rose light was born that day.
"Your wish has surpassed Entropy. Now, claim your destiny as a Druid, Yoshiya Usagiri!"

Entropy is basically the concept of having less energy that you started off with, which is why energy isn't free and, after billions of years, the universe will die. Yes, we can't create or lose energy, but that energy can become unusable...
The basic backround story of this roleplay/anime is that these aliens have discovered that emotions create magic, which can make FREE energy, so if they harvest it, they can make the universe last forever. They have no emotions, so they've been using us.
They bring out our inner magical power with 'contracts', granting us a single Wish and in exchange we become superheroes based on that wish (someone who wishes to heal someone else might have a Wolverine-style healing factor). The thing is, there are catches.
The Soul Gems mentioned are used to transform into your magic form. It also literally contains your soul, meaning you're like a zombie now. And when you use too much magic, or feel too much negative emotions, negative energy fills your Soul Gem.
Witches are monsters that occupy their own personal worlds, but can hurt humans through curses, such as encouraging them to commit suicide or commit murders, or pulling them into their worlds and killing them. When you kill a Witch, they drop a Grief Seed, which can absorb negative energy and clean your Soul Gem. The aliens take these when it's full so they don't hatch back into Witches, and use the Grief Seeds to fuel the universe.
Witches can also spawn Familiars, minions that can go off and start hurting people. Eventually, Familiars grow into copies of their parent and repeat the process, so some Magical Children...LET Familiars grow so they can collect the Grief seed. D:
By the way, Witches? You become one if your Soul Gem fills up completely. You're overcome with despair, and become a horrid monster cursed to do as much harm as you did good.
Cue the RP. Eventually things got so bad that the witches overrun the planet, causing all the governments to collapse and all of humanity to find out about Magical Girls and Witches and such. And worst of all, the auras of the Witches had become so intense they're actually speeding up the death of the universe.
The aliens started contracting boys too, and modified their contracts so that instead of becoming Witches, they're forgotten by everyone when they die, as if they were never born.
Which is why Yoshiya made the wish he did. He didn't want to lose his brother.

In the context of the fictional universe of this anime and roleplay, there is no deities or afterlife. When the universe experiences a physical end, it's going to be the end of everything. The power of magic in the human soul provides hope, but ultimately it's not a very happy setting.
