Wonderful shading, I love the contrast that you were able to put into the scene. Also noticed the definite use of foreground, background, etc. in those 4 definite layers, though they're almost too definite in spots, namely the foreground. I don't have any formal training though, so yeah x) I really enjoy the tone though!

I'm also so very inspired at all the extra work you are doing to improve yourself- you are going to walk out of this course like a freakin' champion.
I'm particularity going to highlight the excellent atmospheric perspective- the BG trees in the FAR back really do feel like they are receding in the BG. It makes a fantastic depth!
