Who's the lucky dog/s that get to nom on these delightful doggy treats from the kitchens of
Miscellaneousmutts
These are the best ones I have made so far! The dogs love them, they smell gorgeous and they just are all around great!
INGREDIENTS
1 cup = 240ml
1-2 cups of chicken broth (I made my own especially for this recipe, it's really easy and great for using up all those chicken bones! If your not sure how to go about making your own broth, search it!)
1 small stick of grated celery
2 grated small carrots (although you can use less which I did)
1/2 cup of cooked rice
2 cups of rolled oats
1 beaten egg
1tsp of baking powder
2 1/2 - 3 cups of flour, although more will defiantly be needed to make the dough good enough to roll
RECIPE
-Simmer the grated carrot and celery in the chicken broth until the veg is nice and soft. Make sure you simmer more broth than you need, just in case!
-Let the chicken, carrot and celery broth cool down a bit until it is lukewarm (or near abouts) then add the broth to the rest of the ingredients. Add more broth or flour to reach desired consistency for rolling.
- roll out to whatever thickness you would like, cut with cookie cutters, roll into balls, whatever, then place on a tray lined with greaseproof paper.
- Bake for 20 minutes, rotated them half way through (they may need longer)
- After they are cooked, turn off oven and leave in there to harden for a couple of hours.
Any questions, feel free! c:
