Another sketch from 2002, a second version of my mecha character Andrake.

I always planned for Andrake to have two (or possibly) three incarnations, with the second form incorporating dragon-based features. (It's a long story, and the exact details are still hazy.) The way its fiery reds and oranges contrast with its blue wings (there are actually four wings, but the smaller pair is hard to see) and joints is a nice touch. Otherwise, Andrake is still the same mecha underneath the new armor, and still wields the same energy sword.

Crayola colored pencils, originally took about 3-4 hours.
