This perplexes me. I have seen patients where I work who are around 100 years old - some over 100 even - and yet, our cars still are crap. Yes, I just sank a couple GRAND into my car and, yes again, I'm bitter. OK, yeah, I understand that the internal combustion engine is an inefficient machine and a clatter trap to begin with but still. We've had these things around for over a century, and they're still junk? Jeez.
