Oh, that wrinkly watercolored paper! It's actually really easy to get the buckles out of water- I should add a little note to my con sketches on how to do it. :) A sketch I drew for Skifox at AC. So who's going to Rainfurrest? *raises hand* :O

What you do is lightly spritz a sheet of paper towel with water (not sopping wet enough to make it slightly damp), and set the artwork on top (so in the case of a sketchbook, the page behind the artwork). Then you put a dry sheet on top of the artwork. Normally the art would then be sandwiched between boards or sheets of glass - I have some scrap flat sheets of wood lying around - but for sketchbooks I'd probably use any other flatter substitute (like those thin sheets of plastic they sell at japanese stationary shops to put behind a sheet of paper when you write or draw on top). But anywho, sandwich that, then just pile a bunch of books on top of the sketchbook so it's completely flat. After a haf hour to 45 minutes or so, swap out the damp paper towel sheet with a dry one. Squash again, then wait till dry. :) I wish I could find the link to show you, but that's the method I use to flatten out artwork i put in the show. I've never had to worry about wrinkly art ever again.
