Blue & Green Valentines Day
I know this piece is a little early for Valentines Day but I wanted to do something special for hubby & I since this Valentines Day will make it 6 years that we've been together. My wedding anniversary is more important, yes, but this date, not the holiday itself, holds very special meaning for us, just as well since 2-14-06 was the day we officially began our relationship together!!! =)
DAMN THIS SKETCH PAPER & scanner!!! >< I tried to lay this piece as flat as possible in my scanner and it still got a little wavy, so I hope ya'll will overlook this. The poses I'm very much happy with but I did forget to touch up Chao's hair with my white prismacolor >_o; Oh Well. And like always, my scanner ate the color out of this piece, and I wish you all knew how much more brilliant this work is in person T_T I swear it's not this dull looking.
I'm sure most of you are wondering why this is blue & green and not pinks, reds, & whites like your typical Valentines Day piece. Well, for one, I hate pink. Two, red, for me, represents sexual passion, and I wanted this piece to represent the sweet innocence & tenderness that was the stronger of our emotions when we first started our relationship using cooler colors. Blue for Eric since that's his favorite color, and well, we all know what mine is ;) No doubt, there is still tenderness in our marriage, but the innocence, heh heh, that went away a long time ago XD LOL!
