This is our new education falcon! She is a Peregrine.
Her name is still undetermined but the place she came from called her Phoenix. Not sure if it will be changed.
She was a breeder for the falconers at the Air Force Academy.
She is beautiful.
We have to train her to sit on glove without a hood. This can be a challenge but it's been done to her mother and a Prairie Falcon in the past.
Taken with my cellphone, expect more pictures of her in better quality once she settles in.

She's trained but the majority of birds in Falconry are hooded when not doing their stuff so they have issues sitting on glove without a hood.
We don't use hoods since we use them to teach adaptation and how can you show off their face and eyes if no one can see em.
She was also a breeder and not a performance bird so she isn't trained much beyond sitting on a glove with a hood on.
