Do you expect people to pay you to cut holes in jeans?

I second this... I don't mean to be a bitch, but its a little pointless and expensive for someone to obtain a pair of ripped jeans that they could tear themselves x.x;

I want to add that although my previous comment was a bit crude, I will add that it will be cool if you offer awesome needlework designs and patches in furry designs :P

Well, I'm glad you like my idea but i have to admit you are being a little rude, over here in the UK, $40 is about £20, which is the minimum amount someone can charge for a pair of jeans, so when the exchange rate reduces from $2:£1 my prices won't change, and i'm a beginer so don't expect perfection, just an atempt, like a sketch for an artist, I'm just testing my lmits, and the limits of the fabric, because anyone can tear up a pair of jeans but only people who know the fabric well can tear it up and make it last a long time. if you tear up a pair of jeans too much, the fabric will easily rip when caught (trust me i know)

well, can i ask, do you know anyplace that sell's jeans for less than £3, t3sco is good, they do fit but they're very dark

As for you Mikewolf: dont stop what you do, enjoy it, embrace it, and make it yours. The idea you have is good, and i'm quite certain if you progress from this, you may be able to build custom design jeans in many varied styles.

I thank you for backing me up, I also admit that the jeans are unbalenced, too much on one side, but i need to keep working on different pairs of jeans, the commision also is for and INDIVIDUAL pair, They will have your name or furry name on the jeasn somewhere, and any requests will be accomodated, nothing will be ignored unless you don't want it ^^

are those made from scratch? if so, cudos, i think it would be better to do more cuts, like someone got mauled. Also if you have a rotary tool wit something abrasive its better to use that than an exacto knife or whatever, it helps the cut in the fabric to not widen as much.

well, as i have said, the jeans are unbalenced, i need something on the other side, and if i wash them, the hole opens more, and makes the hole worse, so i'd like to avoid ruining it more, i'm going to sew it up again, repairing it again.

you should go to a thrift store buy a whole crapload of jeans for like 2$ a piece and just experiment, if you ruin em i mean nothing lost right? but you may find a good way to do that withough the hole widening

sorry to say but the cheapest over here are $6 but they fit great. I do have ripped jeans which rip at the knee, now i can't wear them, they caught something and the bottom half of one leg came off, not good. so i'm trying to avoid low leg rips. they last longer

I had a similar idea for a jean company that involved patches, slashes, bullet and shotgun holes!

well, that's it, People pay hundereds of dollars/gbpounds for for jeans which are mass produced and here i am, offering them a handmade 'Personal' pair of jeans for $40 and one or person bites my head off, but i can only keep trying untill i get it right.

I would probably help you come up with ideas, and then buy a pair from ya, But where i'm livin, i'm survivin off of Tea and yogurt for my daily food source. plus i have to save up for two cons that i promised i'd go to (unwittingly) so yeah. Otherwise should i find the time and money, i'll gladly grab a pair from you

Well, that's great to hear! if i can just get a few ideas (and people to buy them) i should get better, the only problem is that i can't run off demo's and originals until i get some people to buy! money don't grow on tree's! but 1 patch could just get 1 demo pair on the rails. unless i find a place that sells fitting jeans even cheaper.

hey you should post a pic of the patch or patches that would be on the back pocket and whatnot. You know what also would be kinda cool, is having a posable furry wolf tail built into the back of the jeans.

Now that is an idea! but i've already started to add to it a few more 'wolf cuts' around them, adding serious freying and the name on the back is kinda plain, i'm gonna use more thread to add some colour. The main problem is that the jeans are so damn dark! to stand out, bright thread has to be used to be seen.

have you tried already faded jeans? and what about printing your logo instead of using patches.ooohhh... could you work in bite marks on the jeans with the slash marks?

faded cost about $40 to start with, and prints wear off quickly. thread lasts the life of the jeans. Bite marks.......interesting......not sure how they would look

not if you use used jeans, they have more uhmm..charecter anyway, your right about the printing though, but whatcha think about the tail idea?

haha, well, the tail might be good but keeping it attached might be hard. I make these jeans for strength and design. basically, make them so that they can be worn over and over (at con's, free advertising ^^)
