Calamity Rising - Sketchwork
People always urge me to submit more sketchwork... ok, here you go. ^^
My latest project is called "Calamity Rising" and will show King Kyle Primor and Reptile Cynrik standing on a high cliff... gazing down at a valley filled with a barbarian army!
The final artwork will be a TRADITIONAL ARTWORK again!! :) But I prefer doing my pre-production work on tablet these days.
As you can see, I always prefer drawing the characters nude (sometimes rough, sometimes more clean) and then putting clothes and armor on them. And I prefer using human models!
TRIVIA:
I've posed for "Kyle Primor" myself... yeah, I didn't have a super-model available at the time. XD
And I know... most people will stare at "Reptile's" body/butt more than anything - but sure, that's fine with me. ^^

I love looking at the "Steps Behind the Scene". It really does provide a lot of useful information as to how you are able to develop such jaw dropping detail and anatomy as well as providing others with such knowledge in order to deconstruct and use towards their own styles. The scene is absolutely captivating, I can only assume that the scene will be compiled as a finished work, though, assumptions aren't always accurate. Absolutely brilliant work, Patrick and thanks for the inside peek. :)

Well, ok... it took me about 3 hours to design this sketchwork here. So, this is rather quick. But the entire picture will take about 30 hours to complete and... yeah, I mostly do this at the weekends. ^^
And if you don't HAVE the time, you MAKE the time! ^^

Well, thanks a lot! And yeaaaah... this may be just a sketchwork and prework... concept, sketch, composition... BUT I know that there's also a very nice REPTILE to look at! ^_^
