Acid saliva and bloody, ripped wings? Sounds even more awesome! But, why are they missing?

I tried the wings on, with the way I wanted to portray the spines it just didn't work out...I'll have to think of something more fitting that would work with having wings.
As for the rest...I've been chipping slowly away at this pic for what feels like months now (probably has been!) and somehow it just doesn't feel right, perhaps I'll draw him again soon after these other little side projects of mine are done and do him some justice.
I really wanted to get a basic design down for the bugger and this one certainly works...it needs some tweaking and some love, but I can work from it :D
