Nice work, very sexy :P I agree with you on the colored pencils, I can't imagine ink would have looked nearly as nice, given the detail in this piece. I actually need to get back into using my Prismacolor pencils myself, this picture may just be my inspiration

Nyam, yeah the inked stripes look gorgeous with a pure ink pic, or even with marker, but not so much with pencil. :P

Good luck with them, I still feel colour pencil is the hardest thing to do, asides digital colour. :P

Working with markers like I do in most of my pieces is actually a little harder to do, in my opinion. Colored pencils can be equally hard to get an even laydown of color with, but they give you maximum control over the flow of color, while with markers you sometimes have to compensate for the bleeding of the ink when it hits the paper. You also have to be careful of what kind of ink you use because if its soluble, the alcohol in the markers will make it run. I found that out the hard way on a piece I'd been working on for hours, LOL. And yes, digital art is very hard unless you have the right tools at your disposal.

Yeah I also found the thing about inking with certain brand of pens when using marker. I found about it veerry early on in a similar fashion. XP

All of the mediums have their strengths I guess, It just takes ages toi be able to use all of them. :P

Very nice! I think it looks softer drawing her markings in with the coloured pencils. Something, I'm learning to do more often is to leave some line work in pencil in order to make some edges look less harsh or sharp. The folds of her top are also well-drawn.
