NOTE: As always, please refrain from posting any hate or flames, or starting any heated arguments 'cause I'll just ignore any such posts anyway. In short, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything. Thank you :)
Did this one last night after a friend of mine inspired me, although my original plan was something else entirely this image wouldn't leave my mind so I had to do it first.
I did not write this, but it has a place here:
Non-vegans,
Many of you complain about how some vegans 'approach' you. Some of you even say that you would go vegan but you don't like how the messenger delievers the message.
Seriously?
Here's the truth.
Most of the vegans I know simply describe what YOU do to others.
Most of the vegans I know don't even dare voice their opinions about what you do to others because they fear that their opinions might scare you away.
Most of the vegans I know only present facts.
Most of the vegans I know often bite their tongues and swallow their opinions because they put your victims needs before their own needs.
Most of the vegans I know treat you kindly and even sugarcoat the truth so you and your fragile ego keep listening.
So please, stop your ridiculous "I would go vegan but your approach is wrong" excuse.
The message is not about the messenger.

When you're posting such a.... bold piece of art that is almost accusatory of the non-vegan viewer, it's very unfair to censor comments.
I personally am a vegetarian, and have been for quite a while. I am simply because I don't see why I personally should take animal's lives when I can be equally happy while enjoying other food.
I do try to be minimal on my dairy and egg consumption, but- I simply do not see how the subject matter of this picture is fair. Milking technology has been made to be as comfortable as possible, and calves are properly fed and raised by many dairy-only plantations. The real issue comes into play when dairy and meat industries come together, and the calves are sold for meat; that, I am against.
Can you find me information- statistics and facts- on inhumane procedures in the milking process, that are not from PETA or another extremist/very biased organization? Perhaps I'll reconsider, but I simply have not found in my research any unbiased evidence exposing issues with the dairy industry.
While it's good to express yourself and your choices- it's not right to make an image that implies non-vegans are terrible people (read; "you're stealing milk from enslaved mothers who had their children stolen!") and then not allow people to respond. It's simply not, well, right.

Well, for starters I wasn't pointing fingers at anyone. I had this "awkward moment" MYSELF personally when I learned the truth about dairy. So in a sense, I'm speaking about myself (only I was 26 when I went vegan last year, and am not a guy lol) I ask that people not start drama because I make these sorts of pictures to unwind emotionally. They're my outlet, my little personal place to vent. That being said, there's a reason why I do my best to avoid heated debates, I'm a very emotional person and sometimes literally start shaking when it comes to defending animals. So, instead of ranting myself and allowing myself to get to that point, I'll offer you all the resources I know of concerning this topic (and no, none from PETA. I don't trust them either)
on why dairy is unnatural - and the health concerns it causes. This article was written by a practicing physician:

and on the animal rights issue, I don't consider mercy for animals an "extreme" group, but even if you do this is worth a read: http://www.mercyforanimals.org/dairy_and_veal.asp
I was a lacto vegetarian for over ten years, and a "cheese addict", but once I saw some of this stuff I couldn't look at dairy cheese the same way ever again (now I'm hooked on daiya vegan cheese, love it )

a simple pic of vegan pup last week and now this, if you can turn me from meat and dairy that would be amazing, this is a very moving picture to me, which is saying alot cause I have ALL my life been an omnivore, I could put the guys on the food channels to shame, I have visited countries and eaten whatever it was they served simply to try what those countries like to eat, and alot of if has been meat or fish in korea, almost all beef and pork in germany, quite a bit of chicken and beef in Kuwait. I think I will have to try of of your links advice of not doing milk for two weeks and see what happens, at least for now I am 'one out of two dozen that is stopping and THINKing, pausing to reconsider their actions...taking the time to LOOK at the truth....' (yes those are your words) - I know you'll be wishing me luck :)
Very good pic. Sad, but it is the reality and you portrayed it well. Consuming dairy products means treating animals as property of humans. It means enslaving them, confining them, exploiting them, forcing them into pregnancy, taking their children, and it also means killing them.
Respecting animals means being vegan!
Great job on the picture.

Totally agree, I'm only sorry it took me so long to wake up to the reality of dairy (I was ignorant for a long time and only vegetarian for about 10 and a half years. Ah well...since I'm going through a lion king obsession right now I'll wrap this up with "you can't change the past" and "the way I see it, you can either run from it...or...learn from it!" :D and I has learned. Vegan4eva. Thanks for the comment!
Aw, thanks :D I have a few "message" pictures scattered throughout my gallery, it's how I vent when I get worked up emotionally and since I'm vegan and very into animal rights, it's usually about one or both of those topics lol. Thanks again for the fav, comment & watch! :3
That's awesome! I'm happy I could help inspire that change :3 When I first thought about moving from vegetarianism to full veganism I had a slight struggle, since I was such a "cheese addict" (it's actually a proven fact that cheese is addictive, check this: http://danmahony.com/bigfood2.htm) but I turned to non-dairy alternatives (such as daiya vegan cheese) to help me and honestly never even missed dairy cheese that much (daiya is awesome @_@) I think because anytime I thought about dairy cheese, I kept seeing the graphic images and facts I'd seen about the dairy industry and that always stopped me) As for regular dairy milk, I hadn't had much of that in years anyway (loove almond milk) the main thing that was keeping me from full on veganism was the cheese. A couple weeks after I ditched it I dropped a pant size, and then another. Of course, after that progress slowed since I was still drinking a lot of soda and having a lot of processed foods and very little exercise, but even with all that just dropping the dairy shed some pounds off. More recently I have taken to eating a lot better, I only have 1 soda a week at most (where as I used to have multiple cans a day) and I've taken to having more raw, whole foods. It's been wonderful and, in addition with about 30 mins of exercise daily, I've dropped more (to the point where my pants won't stay up anymore) I swap at least one meal a day for all fresh fruits and/or veggies, and try to keep track of sodium intacks (but lets face it, i suck at math XD) Anyway ways I went off on a ramble, again I'm happy I could help inspire you to make a change!
We have something here called Woodman's, it's not as extensive as a Whole Foods store, but it does have an entire isle of various dry goods, and half an isle of various frozen goodies :) devoted to Vegan/Vegetarian/All Natural styles of foods, that and they have about a dozen or more different brands of soy/rice/almond/coconut milks, so I'm still sampling which kind I like on my cereal, I figure I'll have it figured out by X-mas :P
Now if only I could convince my family to give up the milk, but that's gonna be a tough sell. I had someone at work ask if I was gonna try some milk to see if it brought on my migraines, since I haven't had one since I quit dairy, I looked at them like they were crazy, and explained to them again just how much better I feel without dairy running through my veins. they said something about being addicted to cheese and couldn't five that up, or ice cream, and then they didn't get the joke when I mentioned that yeah they were addicted to it. As with all things though, time will help :)
