First of three commissions for  JAWolf, who has been my most loyal and pleasing clients throughout the years. :) He's a great dude.

He wanted three paintings similar to an older piece I painted for him: [link] . The paintings are of different animals to represent each of the seasons. I already did a red fox for Autumn, and here's a Golden Lion for Summer! The concept for a golden lion for summer was inspired by "The Sun King", aka King Louis XIV of France, who's royal motif was often represented by the sun or a golden lion.

It kinda turned into another theme, though. I told him about a story I have created from a dream that tells the story of two pairs of lovers who never see their mates. The lovers are Summer and Winter, Spring and Autumn. Each of the seasons are represented by an animal: a golden lion named Summer, a pale Caribou named Winter, a young mare named Spring, and a red fox named Autumn. So now the paintings are following under that story too!


All the commission slots are taken right now, but I do have a hold list in case you want one and I happen to still be available after all of these are finished. I'm in need of spare cash because of the poor luck I've been having lately.
