It was still dark when one could hear the first steps of people from the tribe walking though the snow. It seemed like the hunters were getting ready for a hunt. Shoal golden stripes were beginning to show on the horizon. As the sun awakened, the rest of the tribe did too. It was an average morning in the northern water tribe, a lot of the citizen were working diligently by now and the many voices were echoing about the tribe. It seemed as everyone was awake. Except one. ''Neka! Get up!'' Hollered a mother's voice desperately trying to get her child to wake up. But instead it just rolled over with a groan. The mother sighed. ''You're gonna be late... again.'' But eventually the girl gave in and braced herself up, her pitch-black hair covering the biggest part of her face. ''Yeah.. yeah. It's okay!'' She grumbled and had a good yawn. As she opened her night sky blue eyes and looked around, she noticed her mother storming in her direction from the other end of the room with clothes in her hand. ''Here! Now hurry up.'' said the woman as she dumped the clothes over her daughter's head. ''This is the fourth time you're late this week!'' she complained the mother, looking down at her daughter, who was shoving the clothes aside rapidly. ''This isn't like you.'' She gave her a worried look. ''Gee mom... Give it a rest already! I know, okay?!'' the girl hissed and got up. Her mother shook her head and let out another sigh. Neka however, got herself dressed and jumped up. This wasn't like Neka at all. But she'd been through a lot, her mother knew that and just decided to give her space. She'd calm down eventually. Neka dashed out of the house, grabbing her purse abruptly, without saying another word to her mother. She was headed to class, healing class. She didn't even noticed how she passed her brother, who had greeted her, wordlessly and left him standing there speechless. Ikana (we weren't sure if Yugoda was giving healing lessons already back then so we just came up with someone else) so the name of the teacher, was a master in the art of healing humans. She taught all of the tribe's women this ancient tradition which was preformed on a wooden puppet. She and her pupils had begun the class for quite a while now, as Neka suddenly stormed inside.
