I think it looks fine!

I think if I turned them sideways it'd actually be a terrible idea as a horizontal hit with something like a sword would have the edge of its blade at the same angle as the gaps in the lamallae, and it would basically go straight through it! if they hang tall-wise, though, a sword-blow would hit multiple lamallae in their centers, where they'd be strong! so you wouldn't be able to raise your arms so well but would be better protected??? I don't know!!!

Yeah, I just worry about them being too hard to move your arms UP but like I said they don't go sideways and if they DID a sideways sword thing would just go through the gaps along the thing! so this is probably how I'm going to keep them

Yeah ok. Look I only know about armorstuff through, like, what I read on the interbutt basically. I have worn a mail haubergeon like ONCE and that was a cool feeling but my armor fetish is basically entirely through wistfully looking at GIS :C

I have worn some plate armor and some mail and a coat of plates and helped make some lamellar (you lace the lames together it is a pain) and some helmets there are helmets everywhere.

My brother makes armor that is his hobby.
