NOTE: As always with these types of pictures, I ask that you do NOT post comments just to start heated drama. I make these sorts of pictures to UNWIND emotionally so don't cause me more stress. I have more than enough of that. Do not post flames or hate. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything cause it'll just get ignored anyway. :)
And then there was this. I actually sketched this a few months ago after I was emotionally shaken by some stuff. Pretty much, what it says here, I just can't understand that mind set: how one can claim to love animals, be against animal cruelty, yet continue to fund horrific torture of countless innocent animals just so they can have an unhealthy "happy meal". I think ronald was the most fun ta draw here. XD The animal images were hard for me, and the human sucks cause I fail at humans anyway but meh. This is what we call an art vent, folks. Emotions come out in art, and sometimes I "scream" through my art, too.
I did not write this, but it has a place here:
Non-vegans,
Many of you complain about how some vegans 'approach' you. Some of you even say that you would go vegan but you don't like how the messenger delievers the message.
Seriously?
Here's the truth.
Most of the vegans I know simply describe what YOU do to others.
Most of the vegans I know don't even dare voice their opinions about what you do to others because they fear that their opinions might scare you away.
Most of the vegans I know only present facts.
Most of the vegans I know often bite their tongues and swallow their opinions because they put your victims needs before their own needs.
Most of the vegans I know treat you kindly and even sugarcoat the truth so you and your fragile ego keep listening.
So please, stop your ridiculous "I would go vegan but your approach is wrong" excuse.
The message is not about the messenger.

Im getting there :) There is a farm near me where they hand milk the cows, make their own cheese and the calves stay with the mothers and on the farm for life. Most of the cows on this farm have been there 15-20yrs now too, all rescues from the meat auctions.
I have been a lacto-vegetarian(no meat fish or eggs) now for almost 7yrs.

That's awesome, never heard of any dairy farm working in that way before, seriously unique. @_@ Even so, I just can't look at dairy as natural anymore. I really hate that it too me so long to see that but I can't change that, I can only move forward. Some of the things I've read, really scares me (not just the dairy/veal connection, which is true for the majority of dairy farms) but the health concerns for humans, too. I mean, we're the only species on the planet that keeps drinking milk (from another species) after we're weaned, just makes no sense. This really sums up the health concerns, I think...written by a doctor, no less: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-ma....._b_558876.html
I was a lacto vegetarian for a little over ten years, went vegan last year (april 30th to be exact, although to be fair I had my "mess up" days, aka learning process of figuring out what was safe and what wasn't) Now I'm just ocd about checking the labels on everything, which is easy since I have ocd anyway XD

naw, thanks...I just post it with the intention of ignoring any trolls (thankfully haven't had any yet :D) A friend of mine that makes beautiful animal rights music videos might be using this (and some more of my art, mixed in with her artwork) in one of her future vids. Here's one of her vids, my fav... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkOjQPr043U
I'm all for ethical treatment of animals, and I fucking love cows; they're like, my favorite animal. But they taste delicious and I'm not gonna give up beef just because some jackass doesn't knock the animals out before he slits their throats. I'd post a picture like this for the opposite cause, but then I'd just get labeled a heartless bitch who doesn't know what she's talking about.
It's a little confusing to me to read this and I will explain why. Saying something along the lines of "I want good welfare for the animals I eat and I try my best/always buy from humane farms" or "I think cows are cute but I still eat them" or "I respect cows as animals but still eat them" or any mixture of these sentiments would make logical sense.
The problem lies mostly in the use of 'love'. Love generally connotes something deeper than say, respect or wanting welfare or thinking something is cute. Love means you generally want to see said loved one unharmed. You care about them, you respect them, you want no harm to come to them, etc. So it's confusing to me to see that statement. I'm aware that we've all been raised and grown up in a society that uses non-humans basically to their whim.
While I understand the social connotation of "Loving an animal and still eating it", the logical sense is not there. It's really contradictory. It's common knowledge that the majority of the human population believes in at least welfare for animals. No one wants to see any being getting unnecessary treatment, and I'm sure the average person, if they saw someone outright bludgeoning a cow with a hammer, would either 1) try to stop them physically/with words 2) call the police and/or 3) at least be very disturbed and upset by the actions.
So yeah, it's a contradictory (and vague) statement to make.
