One of the recent gift badges that I made. I was desparately in need of sprucing up my badges skills, so I thought it was the opportune time to *coughbuttkisscough* some of my fav artists here on FA.
Here's a badge I made for
. Unfortunately, the scanner ate most of the colors and the glitters. The badge is much more vibrantly colored IRL.
If you'd like to have this badge, Falvie, send me a PM and shipping can be arranged ^_^
I am available for badges of this sort :3 My commission sheet is being revamped, but commissions are not closed atm.
Enjoy!

I used so-called Posca markers which are basically acrylic-based inks in marker form. They're mostly used by graphic designers and graffitti artists but work just as well for other things. Not sure if every store sells them, but I am sure you can order a batch online someplace :)
It has a gel pen feel in the sense that it can be used to cover up over other media for a lot of things :) You can also use them to paint canvas shoes for instance, they're pretty neat. And yes, in real life the colors are a lot more vibrant. The scanner ate a lot of it XD Posca markers also appear in metallic versions. I have a few of them and they're awesome.
