If theres one massive difference between most digimon style partnerships its that Tamers ( according to the games that is X3 ) Train their partners from child levels up to their ultimate stage ( aka rookie to mega ) and given that Shintomon is a perfect level as well... this fight could go either way X3

The Tamer should have the Digi-Modify ability, so as long as he has cards he can boost and augment his partner.
The Hunter has Digi-Xros ability, so as long as he has monsters he can tune his partner to the fight.
Even match up. I'm betting on the Shintomon though. Lucemen is always such a jerk :P

well actually tamers according to the show have that. In this case, Im referening to Tamers as in the ones from the games as well as from the manga ( referring to Digimon adventure V-Tamer ) where a tamer is someone who raises a digimon from its child level all the way up to its ultimate level. So yeah ^^; no modify ability here.
In this case, its Shintomon on his own, with all his skills and abilities plus all the experience hes gained achieving this level. ^_^

a good example is atually found in V-tamer where Taichi's Zero ( aka his Veedramon ) is not only capable of beating perfect levels senseless regardless of the fact that hes only an adult, and is so strong that in the end, he takes out even that of Deamon in the end X3
