I wanted to come up with one of those oddball, non-humanoid masterminds ala those in various Japanese live-action series, so I worked up The Light, which is clearly pretty clueless. This meant that the logical general for the sinister Clan was Chong, an experienced and resigned warrior who fully realizes he's working for fools and hasn't much more than a reasonably secure paycheck to hope for.
The explosions are Chester merrily blowing the stuffings out of his stronghold.
