It must be said, being a genie must be very boring when all is said and done. For starters, you're not allowed to come out of your bottle, jaw, or ring unless you've been summoned by someone, plus you're only allowed to do as they will you...if you're good. This has led many to be less than kind when interpreting the wishes they're presented with...or even ones that aren't meant to be heard.
Luckily for anyone finding Kore's bottle, this crocodilian genie is far more benign than some of his brethren. First and foremost, he tries to keep the wishes he gets limited to practical uses - who'd want to be a giant man of muscle if one was ONLY muscle, after all? This is partially from his own experiences with the unpleasantness of a scorned master, and the fact that it's just not very interesting (it's kind of like beating up someone with their own fist - amusing at the start, then it loses its novelty). Making his contract revolve around wishes that are interesting, however, tends to solve this problem easily.
...besides, napping in a genie bottle can get boring in itself. There are only so many dreams a small gold container can offer. Not that it isn't nice to have every so often.
As you may have noted, this is both a late piece and one that is portraying my genie Kore in a slightly different form. Rest assured, this isn't out of character for Kore. He's a genie, after all - a little shape shifting is far from unreasonable for him to accomplish. Besides, it keeps the reflection in the mirror from getting bored.
I would seriously like to thank Aero for drawing this piece, as I do all the artists who draw my characters, especially since this lets me show off a piece of his gallery. Trust me people, this guy is no lame artist (but then again, neither is anyone who I showcase here). Be sure to check out his work, and to fave the source pic as well!
Note: For some reason, the picture doesn't appear quite as it should when shrunk down on Aero's page. Just click Full Size or Download and you'll be able to see it as you can here.

The genie would nod, before the room slowly began to slide outwards, almost as though someone had added the extra length and width, and just hid it in the walls. The outside of the house, however, would look exactly the same as before. "Duly noted, good sir." he purred, before sizing up the bed and its sheets. "How's this? I could get you some more furniture, maybe add a window or two."
