First of all, Thanks to everyone who comments! Also Thanks go out to all my watchers too! whether your new, or are continuing following me from my old account! <3333 I love you guys!
I love comments! They keep me motivated to do more artwork, and this is probably true for most people here. I still love favs! don't get me wrong, but a little comment here and there perks me up. Even if it's a "I love this!" or just a little "hello"
I love getting them, it kinda lets me know who you are, not just as a watcher but as a person. It also gives me a chance to get some feed back on what ya'll think of me as an artist, as well as what ya'll think of my art. Whether it be critique(even if i don't ask for it! i need to improve! don't worry i don't bite!) It also is an insight in what my images provoke in you guys emotionally or philosophically or just learning that i'm not the only person who does this or that.
I want to be an illustrator and if i can't provoke anything from ya'll then i fail as an artist. I mean, that's an artist's job, to provoke some sort of emotion or to inspire.
But i also like to know who you guys are! I like to associate the icons I see with those people....it also helps me to remember you later so that there is no awkward "Hey! HAZARD! It's me! so and so from FA!" and me ending up trying to remember who you are and making it all "oh hey, ummm hi! yeah i remember you....what was it again?" I suck at names, i'm better with images that connect to that person. I love to meet my watchers :D you guys are the reason I keep doing this.

i'm shy about commenting mostly cause i feel like i don't wanna be one of those annoying people who has nothing to say every time and reveals their general ignorance through constant comments
i prefer to reveal my ignorance through twitter, where it's confined to 180 characters
i try to comment sometimes though. usually what draws me out of hiding are comics.

pfff even a small comment, even if you feel is ignorant, always makes me day :D
i'm trying to do the comics more frequently and if i can a little less sloppy. They just take so long to get put it(i'm bitching), that and sometimes i don't feel some material is worthy enough to doodle out a comic for. Which is wrong and I should try to incorporate more even if it seems boring. heh.

Personally, I feel awkward commenting unless I feel I have something meaningful to add. Im not a good enough artist myself to give genuine criticism, and the generic "great job" comments are kinda unsatisfying. I want to be able to atleast have something funny or meaningful to say.
People, even though not an artist, still can give critique. You see normal things everyday like anatomy animals landscape etc and you see that enough to where if someone draws something and it's off you'll know cuz you see that day to day. Enough to where something in that pic will bug you. I try to step back a lot and look at my art and see what looks right and what might be wrong with it. Sometimes i'm so used to drawing something one way i won't notice differences or needed changes....so even little input that brings attention to an area i need to look at and maybe sort out is always welcome! :D
Even a little "great job" is like getting a gold star sticker to me! it's an awesome feeling :D

I like this! I wish I got more comments, as well. When I upload a piece I'm proud of and it hardly gets any attention... that hurts, dude. It sucks. :\
If I +fav a picture I almost always try to leave a comment. Unless the artist is super popular and already up to their eyeballs in comments, anyway. I try to let people know why I liked their work enough to +fav it because I'm pretty selective about what art I DO +fav.
I watch lots and lots of artists, so sometimes my submissions are flooded and looking at the thumbnails is all I have time for. Sometimes the thumbnail really has to catch my eye for me to look at a picture more closely.
I watch you because I really enjoy your character design and your personality. A lot of times the people I watch I feel like I have stuff in common with. But I'm pretty shy so I really don't go out of my way to get to know people better (and that includes more social comments). Like right now I'm starting to feel foolish about typing so much. So I'll stop now! XD

haha! don't be shy ^^ I get bored at home alone and working or just farting around on the internet. So when I get a chance to reply to comments it's always fun and interesting to see what feedback I get from people. That and it's like having a convention in my bedroom, helps keep them artistic juices flowing.
I am guilty of doing the same, with having a lot of thumbnails and just doing quick +favs without commenting.....especially now since my dad had blocked FA on the computers(i have hackers for friends who helped me out with that problem). So I try to keep things quickly moving in case my dad pokes in.
i am going to try to comment more though on what invokes me though :3

Yeah I try to respond to every single comment left on my submissions and stuff. I really like trying to stimulate conversation but it doesn't seem to happen that often on here. I used to be super active on Live Journal for that sort of thing but hardly anyone uses that site anymore. :C
I am a homemaker I guess you could say, so I am home alone while my husband is at work and I spend plenty of time near the computer. It's just a scoot away from my art desk, too. X3 So I am usually always refreshing FA and Live Journal hoping for updates and comments. Hehe!
If you don't mind me asking, why has your dad blocked FA for you?

Heh, i'm the same way... between modeling and my job(which is sadly only part-time) i just sit at home and just wait for people to reply to my FA posts. Since sometimes I'm saving and don't wanna go out.
My dad blocked probably from one of his friends or a family member sending him an image of a pin up i did and automatically called it "porn" and then for some reason blocked the site. Thankfully I have hackers for good friends and was helped out. So now it's not blocked on my computers. My dad is just a prick sometimes.

lol, that's an awesome quote. I love the insightful stuff a lot! getting long comments and what not! woo! but every so often a little quick oo baby is good so I know it turns people on if it's a pin up....it's what i'm trying to achieve. Like for art that creates those comments that is fine by me as long as they don't get weird creepy XD But it let's me know i'm doing something right :D
yes we do <3 don't neglect us! D8

I try to leave comments as often as possible, but I'm quite guilty of not leaving as many as I could.
No matter how many excuses I can come up with about lack of time or nothing to say, it doesn't counter the fact that I watch you because I enjoy your artwork, and need to offer more thanks and praise for all the work that you share with the rest of us. <3
And on that note, this is a very adorable picture. I love that hopeful expression and adding the text into a speech bubble of smoke really adds to the charm of the picture and the character.
Keep up the wonderful job and thanks for all the art you give us to enjoy. :D

<3 i don't wanna make you guys feel like your being forced to comment on my art or anything. I've just been kinda noticing a lack in it....it could be mainly me doing big art dumps all at once.....or other things. But thank you <3333
and thank you :D i will try to continue to do so!

Oh, not to worry. I didn't feel like this was some type of guilt trip or anything. I just wanted to say that I really do enjoy your artwork, and often feel bad with how often I don't leave a comment. I know there are hundreds of pictures uploaded every day, so it's impossible to comment on everything, but every artist who is here, putting out artwork for the rest of us to enjoy, deserves some praise and recognition from time to time. <3
I don't comment a great deal, usually because I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been or I'm so behind on submissions that I don't have time for anything unless a submission practically begs for whatever it is I have to say. I tend to use the fav function to mean, "I like this. Can I see more like it please?"
Aw! I've always loved watching you! I don't comment a lot but I'll be sure to comment more! You're one of the people that motivates me to get better because I'm so in love with your style! You're also one of the few friendly lizards I've come across too! I will always stay your faithful watcher! ^.=.^
TT.=.TT <3 thank you! i appreciate hearing that....sometimes i don't feel like my art is motivating or inspiring anyone, but i try. Just hearing that makes me wanna keep drawing more. and i'm glad i'm nice...sometimes i can't tell if i'm being overly friendly, or annoying. so thank you ^^
I try to comment when I fav but sometimes I get all hung up on "ack! I has nothing constructive to say! Flee!" hehe. I think I've been traumatized by really snooty artists who snap if you just go "that's awesome" and they're all "If you can't say something constructive don't say anything at all" and it makes me go
I'm naturally a hug dispenser though and if comments are anything like hugs, I will happily shower you with them at every opportunity

So true. Makes me wonder if our watchers really like our work when they favebomb our art and don't leave a single comment on any of them. I appreciate comments on my work a lot more than people just Faving it.
