someone said it'd be funny if the conturian customs AI malfunctioned and suddenly people were just being mobbed by helpful chuian AIs.

inhuman's not a humor comic, is why. i throw in a little humor here and there to ease transitions or lighten moods or generally bring a little somethinsomethin to an otherwise boring sequence. but generally i don't use it much in the story.
i've done a humor-focused comic, though. but i didn't take any suggestions for what would be funny then, either.

Though on to a more practical observation of the subject of this picture and the comic.
Chuian being who they are, I would guess anything made by them wouldn't be as prone as other races tech to such malfunctions. If this did happen to Koji, it probably would be what...Maybe the first, fourth time tops this has happened, if it ever did?

oh yeah, it'd be a rare thing. but not totally impossible, at all.
see, chuian AI technology is by and large open source. and like with other open source software, that means people can backwards engineer it to their own ends. what may have happened here might have been a simple new line of code gone wrong...or it might have been some younger chuian, bored, deciding to hack the AI and muck it up a bit for kicks.
it'd probably be fixed within the hour, but it's not unheard of. certainly nobody short of a myche or other chuian could casually comprehend the code, but glitches still happen.

the no-gun thing is actually for jump gates exclusively!
you'll see what happens when the scanning system detects the knife kyo and grey have with them. but long story short, the landing platforms are aware of all weapons/explosives on them and would take appropriate actions to handle them.

i thought it would only make sense for a very basic welcome AI program to be open source! after all, if someone wants to build their own landing platform or home AI system to help them personally, it should be easily accessable.
