I've been staring at this drawing for a week straight, hovering over it like a honey bee around a van Gogh painting, but never quite getting there in terms of saying something.
This piece is amazing in itself, while at the same time fittingly showcasing the extent to which you've improved as your a designer-illustrator: it looks like a hodgepodge badge, but with every embellishing element lovingly drawn and brought together. The whimsical pose and the body angles are all very adequate to the theme being captured - that of creativity unbound; placing the character soaring in the cloudy skies add to the "flight of fancy" ambiance.
Those tiny elements themselves are each deserving of separate frame: the deliciously viscous rainbow dribble, the Aztec-like stylized curvy puff of flame breath, the progress-admitting inclusion of a helix bulb alongside the generally accepted heat one("I haven't just had any old dusty epiphany, but a cutting edge unprecedented one !"), and the Nyan-Cat pendant, which always finds its niche. I can't quite decide if the cutie doohickey attached to the hair is supposed to be a strawberry, a pineapple, or even a carrot.
Those liquid metal pieces of apparel are a delight to gaze at one point thereof, and then shift the focus sideways - really striking technique you used there ! The way those menthol colours flow into each other is definitely dog's-head-tilting. And dear Celestia, the frills ! The inking here is awesome in general, but the frills !
Owing to that illustratorish slant that I mentioned this picture to possess, those sharp angles of the limb joints, the spine and the tail are all crackling great to behold, and the pose even adheres to the proprieties of balance and proportions, all neatly wrung into an 'S' of awesome.
Those waspy feet in particular - which I remember from some of your other recent works - remind me of the way the faeries were drawn in "Lorwyn" card artwork: like this and that.

Now, there was a journal of yours concerning the ethics of FA commenting, and whether adding appreciated pieces to the Favourtites collention without saying anything was a growing trend. In my case, I can concoct a reasonably detailed comment like this about once or twice a week due to the ocular and procrastinatory reasons - what if pictures that warrant a tip of a hat come up more frequently than that ? The choice becomes that between leaving an abridged and stunted version of what you'd have like to say(which in my case you be an improvement, aha), and just flicking a lighter in the rock stage's general direction.
There is much to be rued here v_v

"I haven't just had any old dusty epiphany, but a cutting edge unprecedented one !"
AHAHAHAHA *laughed out loud like srsly*
Omg, I love how those fairie feet are drawn. Almost like insects. Those wobbly clunky feet are really fun to draw, even if totally unrealistic. I may/may not have started one for you, but it came out a combination of girly and super creepy. :x You'll get it eventually, and maybe with some prodding I will finish it enough so its scan worthy. I think its only half inked atm.
Never feel obliged to leave me a comment, I don't want anyone ever to feel that way, I was more making note that people were interacting with each other less and simply clicking the facebook equivalent of "like" over making a contact with someone. I like contact going either which way. And you you you are a good and great friend, I know you're never in the wrong and your silence harms our relationship none. Your intentions are always the best. :3

Aww, I've only just realized how little attention I'd been paying while writing that thing - a surefire sign that it'd been late and drowsy night at the time.
And thank you for bathing me in so much precious trust, it's something to be cherished like a cheery cherry tree. I didn't imply that any sacrificed have been made on my part, though, just presenting an example of how a person can follow the Fave-without-comment pattern without being afflicted by moldering apathy, but rather preforming the White Rabbit dance of scurrying around while checking the waistwatch every several seconds and going, "Oh, my whiskers ! I'm late ! The Queen will have my head ordered off !".
The Lorwyn faeries were very swarmy and stingy, so yes, insectimorphic, a lot of "buzz into a giant's ear and sting its brain" vibes going for them. That setting also had the beauty-crazed Nazi elves, which is always a breath of fresh air as far as fantasy conventions go.
And oh my, once again I find my artistic personification in the cross hairs of your creative weaponry. Thank you in advance, no matter how creepy and girly - we all love "Priscilla The Queen of The Desert" and Erasure !

I misread one of your particularly eloquent lines as "hams our relationship none" - like a Shatnerean fanger !
I adores your last picture, and kept trying to bring myself to write something about it, especially the not-quite-blacks of the inky silhouettes create a semblance of the shadowy figures being subtly illuminated by the distant wan light. The crows were magnificent, too ! I also keep being poised to say something about Troublefree's latest creations, but fail for the same reasons as with you. Do tell him that it was great to see more of Penelope !
Before you ask, no AIM right at the moment, because sleep.
Good omens to you !

Oh my god I love that you mentioned Priscilla hhahahahaha wow.
It's ok, I've felt a little disconnected lately too, and sometimes its just hard to say something that you feel you'd like to say.
We do need to get another aimdate going on, but with me being on more and at random times I think our paths will cross much easier.
