Commissionesque #6: Roofoot Stomp
More experimenting with art pens, this time using them only for highlights, and using pencil for the overall shade. Also tried to get the odd 'doubleclaw' toe that kangaroos have on the inside of their feetpaws, and merge them with a more plantigrade style foot... I think next time I'll elongate and thin the middle toe a little, and maybe make the overall paw longer. More area for crushin' littlefolks that way. >;)
That's Brang's tail in the back there, if it isn't obvious...
Drawn for
xalex14, the little toy caught underpaw :)

At first I thought this was some type of hand; the way it is drawn. It doesn’t look right to me, the angle of the ankle and the direction the foot shoots off from it. It also feels like you changed your mind through the image between plantigrade and digitigrade; creating this “mesh” of the two. The angle of the foot, on the left (when facing the image), is too sharp and you cannot see any hind of the other ankle bone (as well as the largest toe claw). Your shading is getting better though and I’m happy you continue to use the art pens.
I hope the criticism helps you on the next image and you appreciate it; as you have in the past. I’ll look forward to being able to see your stuff before you ink when I move in. It’s always best to get a second opinion, and I hope you’ll do the same for my art. ~Voco
