Well I had this idea kicking around my head for quite some time. Finally got it finished. Behold my incredibly nerdy cross over. Fullmetal Alchemist / Star Trek. So to start this off we'll do a short recap of the history around this.
The USS Arcadia was a Federation vessel. Intrepid class like Voyager. The Arcadia was doing deep space exploration when it came upon an anomaly which pulled the vessel through with rather damaging effects. The Arcadia found itself suddenly in an entirely different universe and very close to a planet which luckily enough was habitable. It was the Earth that would play host to the nation of Amestris. The Arcadia crash landed on the planet below in one of the less barren regions of the desert outlying the kingdom of Xerxese. The Arcadia suffered extensive damage to key structural points and had even lost a warp nacelle. The damage being unrepairable the crew of the Arcadia would have to make this world their home. At first living within the Arcadia itself which was repaired to an extent a small town soon grew up around the ship taking it's name for their new settlement. The inhabitants of Arcadia were unaware of Alchemy until one day a massive disturbance as detected by the ship's still functional sensors which was accompanied by a huge number of life signs vanishing. It was the event of Xerxese. Survivors who had been outside the city at the time refused to return to their city littered with their dead and were taken in by Arcadia. The Xerxians were quickly incorporated into the settlement and brought their alchemic knowledge with them. Many inhabitants of Arcadia being surprised to learn it was something they were capable of. Generations passed Arcadia grew in secrecy occasionally taking in refugees from nearby lands such as Ishvalans. The inhabitants by now had come to call this world home and were now very mixed as far as species was concerned. Among their original crew were humans of course but unlike most vessels they were not the majority. There were numerous Bajorans, Vulcans, and Denobulan, Klingon and Andorian as well as a new of other species though mostly represented by only one or two crew members. Now Arcadia is begining to come out into the open and is in talks about making an alliance with Amestris after the "Promised Day" incident involving Father and his goal of becoming a god.
Commander Wellcon Laan. Primarily of Bajoran, Vulcan, and Xerxian decent is an able commander with an outgoing and open attitude. He typically doesn't hold to needless formalities unless required and likes to get to know those under his command. Laan is skilled in tactics and combat as well as forms of Alchemy having Transmutation circles tattooed onto his arms. He's had a relatively active career gathering intelligence on this or that in Amestris and is quite happy with open negotiations which means he now gets to travel as a representative of Arcadia. Typically as security / Aide to an Ambassador but he's not complaining.
Well hope you guys like the pic and the lil story. ^^
