The owl is a barn owl, and in case you couldn't tell the eye markings are supposed to resemble a mask.

'Twas drawn in SAI. The lines turn out neater in SAI but a lot more anatomically incorrect because you can't free-transform certain areas of the lineart xD it sucks.

..I love fennec foxes so much, they are so damn adorable. I also wanted to have a raptor character so I can practice drawing birds of prey, which I also lurve :heart: annnd owls are really sneaky and ninja so the second form fits his personality.
