lol, even now the trumpet is still outclassed by everything else. But i had to include it because that's how the song went. Hmhm...
Anyway, i've found that doing classic mixes are a little easir than modern mixes if only because it's easier to start a classic than it is a modern. I pulled through with this one though, and i'm glad
Sorry if its relly loud though, i'm trying to find a composition - computer volume ratio that works so that its not too loud or quiet. Not sure if i got it.
(Also this is starting to turn into a game of "guess which sonic gen. song i reference for the piece in question. It's a very easy game >_>)
hmm... i might change some things later. Not sure yet though...

Sir let me tell, you never cease to amaze me, the string movements were beautiful, and the whole track in general.
However, you coud use a more realistic drumpack for your modern remixes, it could help for a heavier and modern feel, Is just my opinion, it's ok like this anyway, it's more... "you"
Oh, and if you're having vol. problems, you could try using the Wave Candy from FL Studio, and some commercial track for a reference, obviously, using the pc always at the same vol. level when mixing, prefaribly at max.

Actually, thanks for bringing that percussion thing to my attention. Even if its sort of a signature style, I've been using the same few percussion instruments i got from lmms for so long; I think maybe i aught to go see if i could in fact look for a more updated drum pack (or at least use the fl studio ones. They seem to be of a good quality. Just have to remember to tweak their settings some)
So, would you say this is an alright volume? I went and compared it with the song i was referencing, and it its also very very loud, so i'm thinking that's sort of the thing that goes on with these. (guess they anticipate the fact that your not listening at full volume anyway(you really shouldn't as the case were), so its okay then)
But in any case, I'm glad you like it.
