Coloration: Multiple hues of grey, matches very well with the blue granite of New England(or wherever there happens to be blue granite.
Covering: Feathers.
Head-neck-body-tail length ratios: Same as River Otter.
Paws: Black talons on each, five per foot. long and broad paws. nails are thick for digging but cat's claw sharp. Opposable thumbs on all fours, held slightly up off ground and against side of next digit (unless needed for grasping, turning while running, difficult train etc.). Long, spidery toes and fingers, with slight webbing.
Legs: design after horses(thighs too)
Body: Lutrine in length, otherwise design after Irish Wolfhound(sighthound) ie: Narrow, with deep chest, and high, tucked in belly.
Tail: River Otter like, ending in Elm leaf tip which is flat to the ground (as opposed to edge on.) Tail tip does not drag on ground.
Head: Basic shape: Irish Jumping horse /Wolfhound mix
Teeth: Canid dentition. Has bone and cartiledge adaptation to Jacobsen's(Vamero-nasal)organ, that allows for sonar/echolocation.
Horns: Design after Urials. Horns are hollowed and chambered similar to a nautilus. This increases the volume of the roar. Also allows at a glance to tell life history of dragon. Bad year= not much growth. Good year= lots of growth. Rings can be used to determine age(just count the rings on one horn and multiply x2.. In Umbu's case, 18 rings per horn.)
Eyes: Steely blue, almondine, deepset, and design after a Urials (pupils are a - sign.). Has two more eyes above and slightly inwards from main eyes. These are kept shut save for when needed. They have a reflective backing like a cat's, but come with their own inner bioluminescence. When open, these glow purple.
Ears: Upper ears: horse-like. used for ultrasonic frequencies
Middle ears: Auditory meatus, used for normal, midrange hearing. These are concealed by the other ears as well as feathers.
Lower ears: Urial Like, used for subsonic frequencies.
Ability: Can travel as a fog(can create lightning within this fog). Breathweapon is something I can't really explain, but it 's like, he breathes, there's an area of no light in front of him, it dissipates after about 3-5 seconds and when it does there's a chance that things that were in that dark area that were there before, won't be there, or won't entirely be there(if the knight is lucky he loses his mount, or his armor, if he's unlucky he's got a body that looks like swiss cheese.). Theorists hypothesize that in this area of absolute darkness, the energies keeping quantum foam expansions to a minimum are weakened allowing this foam to expand and taking into it whatever happens to be in the darkened area, and spreading it's atoms and subatomic particles into countless millions of microwormholes throughout spacetime, so they wind up God might know where, until the dark area dissipates and the regular balance of energy is returned and the foam collapses. This foam doesn't expand at the exact time as the dark area appears so it may not have time to expand enough to do any serious damage before forces make it collapse back in on itself.
