I work for the site http://worldofumbria.net
It's an adoptable pixel critter site (in a magic/steampunk world)
I've been spriting for almost 10 years (4 of them spent at Dragcave.net )

My first Umbria sprite.. and still one of my fave. Though its colors are a bit too bright and saturated, its still sooo prettyyyyy

"An Arctic Phoenix hatchling stumbles about and wobble due to how disproportional its legs are to the rest of its body, which allows for humorous events to occur to them. While they may have ridiculously lengthy legs, an Arctic Phoenix's down is thick and nearly-impermeable, allowing them to be insulated from extreme heat or cold. The down also allows them to sit on fires to put them out, as it is so thick it prevents any burns from occurring.
Mature Arctic Phoenixes give a beautiful splash of color to the muted palette of their natural habitats. Their down is not as dense as when it was a hatchling, however, it is far more impermeable than before, to the point that all water that is poured onto an Arctic Phoenix simply drips off. This, along with the natural luck of finding trinkets and tassels usually deemed lost by many in the harsh environments, allows the Arctic Phoenix to be the perfect candidate for an arctic rescue. While flying, the Arctic Phoenix glitters and sparkles like the tail flame of a comet, giving it the nickname "Living Comet"."
