Former child actor Robbie Jenkins was the star of a children's TV show calle 'Super Happy Fun Slide' where his acrobatic antics never failed to entertain. After several young viewers injured themselves trying to imitate him and their parents sued, and other parents protested... Robbie was written out of the series.
Discovering that his parents had stolen and spent all the money he had made he tried to get back into show-biz but nobody would even touch him. Forced to get a 'real' job he wound up working a series of occupations that he felt were demeaning and demoralising for a lad of his talents. Finally at the end of his rope he worked the late night shift at a cosmetics factory. A tragic accident involving a vat a Perma-Clown was the last push he needed to go over the edge.

He realised the world was a dull place and if he was no longer wanted in Show-Biz, then he would drag Show-Biz kicking and screaming into the 'Real World' to be part of his new constant Reality TV show, starring him... the new Robbie, or rather Jackanape!

I see Jackanape as kind of the Supermegatopian version of DC's Joker. If Weasel Boy is the 'Batman' he needs a clownish villian to foil.

Jackanape is pretty much determined to live up the dull grey 'real world' with his antics. Although he's not truely adverse to killing, he prefers total Chaos, humiliation and invoking every emotion in people that he can from laughter to disgust.
He is constantly followed by his own Gorilla Geurialla TV crew who record his antics for later Broadcast. He has a strong following of fans who watch his webcasts religilously.
