Worked on this track for about a month, on and off in 2-6 hour periods. At first I didn't think anything would come of it but I tried and tried because I liked the melody and bass I put in. Nothing to special a little of this and a little of that and this track came to be :3

Thanks man, been working on trying to round out all the sounds in my tracks so its still catchy to the ear. I haven't been working to hard on making anything since this track, wanted to give myself some relaxation and enjoy some gaming time. You still up for that collab? I'm pretty sure I have you on msn but haven't seen you on.
That would be an interesting idea, I haven't thought about remixes. I've yet to try remixing myself, There may be one slight issue though. We both use different programs to make our music, The only way I can think of that we'd be able to do remixes using different programs is to send each other samples that both programs recognize. Such as sending a ".wav" file to each other for each portion of the track without the effects on them so we can add the effects ourselves through the remixing. We'd be able to listen to the .wav file as a whole and cut it up and arrange it to our needs but we'd not be able to place new notes or remove them from .wav
The least we could do is try, pick a track you like the most from mine and I'll go through yours and choose one of yours. we'll need to take apart the whole track and save every portion of it in .wav, or better yet if we can save the tracks in .midi that would be as good as gold.
we'll just experiment to see what works better for each others needs, I'll try and see what formats I'll be able to save my tracks in, I'm pretty limited on what I can do but If I can save them in .midi that would be the best and not .wav for each piece. With .midi we'd be able to manipulate each note but we wont get any synth information, we'd need to make all the synth sounds from scratch. A remix wouldn't truly be a remix if at least one of the sounds was unaltered and original to the original track.
Well PM me back with what track you'd like to remix and I'll try and get back to you asap, I'll need to go through all your stuff to and pick something, once we both have something we'll start the process of figuring out how to take it apart and send it to each other.

render each track of your song individually;
if your song has 8 layers, render 8 different .wavs'
the only thing to note when doing this: render for the whole length of the song, not just the area where that track applies. This way, we can just line up the .wav files from the beginning and not have any sync issues.
.midi wouldn't be a remix, your definitely right.
