or because its the only tanager that would be found on the back of a Wyoming Wildlife magazine.

I don't know what you mean by eastern... are you referring to the eastern chat tanager (found in dominican republic)? Or the scarlet tanager from the eastern parts of the US?

Or maybe the orange-headed tanager? It kinda looks like a western a little bit and doesn't have white feathers.

Oh cool! I was actually going to ask where you were from.... I'd love to see some of the other kinds, but this breed is the only one I've had the privilege to see in person.
