They are great pets! People never believe me when I say it, but they're like little scaly puppies. They love to snuggle up and be warm next to you. They'll sit with you and fall asleep on your lap while watching TV. You can share your (healthy :P) snacks with them at the table. Though they say reptiles can't express complex emotions, I swear they can love and trust their owners. <3 And losing a pet is never easy, especially when they are really close to you.

I was bullied a lot when I was little, so I found comfort in her. I got out my frustrations by writing stories, and she was always the main character (her and her best friend, a toad named Oliver. And yes, I believe that might be where the furry in me started).

I don't care much for gekos, especially since their nocturnal. And too small to interact with. And iguanas get to big to be practical pets, plus I had a bad experience with my cousin's big iguana. Beardies are perfect pets. And I think you're right, total scaly puppies XD

Aww, sorry to hear about your past, but that's awesome that you found comfort in Cassy! I have geckos, turtles and anoles, but I agree, nothing compares to beardies :3
