Thought I'd share my first animation class project with you guys. All done on regular printer paper.
It was a real challenge, but I'm happy with the end result, even if there are a few issues with it. (deforming leg, inconsistency in the size of his head, etc)

I feel that the shoulders seem to be a bit too stiff in the animation, doesn't seem to have the nice bouncing impression in it as it goes up with the hips at exactly the same time. Shoulders usually react to the hip movements as the back curves and straightens with each step. Other than that, I quite like the animation and can imagine him shaking the ground/place as he walks. :D
Well, his shoulders aren't stiff, they're moving quite well in my opinion -- laterally. You're right about how they should be going up and down. This was kinda rushed, to be honest, so it didn't turn out as good as it could have. Next time, though, I'll be sure to keep that in mind :)
No problems! I did notice that they moved with the arm swinging motion going sideways, just felt that the motion was too stiff when it comes to twist and stretch properties. But I think you did a good job with this one as frame by frame type of animations can be very tedious and hard to fix errors that are spotted later in the process, so the end result is looking good!
With the head it makes me think of Awesome Andy from She-Hulk (it's hard to find decent pics of him!)
