...is the sound Tina's massive platform shoe is making as it suddenly vanishes into the muddy slop as she attempts to retrieve the hose that's been running too long amidst the churned-up soil.
Despite the look of surprise on her face, you kind-of knew she had it coming--I mean, look how deep her other shoe is sunk in. I think she knew it was going to happen and kept going just for the thrill of getting in "too deep" in those shoes for once. Matter of fact, that bog looks suspisciously like it was made in her backyard for impromptu fun and she's testing how deep it got. Or maybe I depicted it there so I wouldn't have to draw a complex backdrop. In any case, I do plan to color this, but Tina came out so well that I didn't want to risk the inks taking something from it without my watchers getting to see it in its 'before ink' version.
The same can be said for the pic following this one, in apparent violation of the adage that one must draw constantly in order to improve, because other than the "Good Clean Fun" sketches done on half-sheets of paper a couple of weeks ago, this and a couple of other pinups are the first full-size character pics I've done since "Cycle Chic", (posted October 3, 2011).
These pics came out better than they should have after a 3 month art hiatus, especially this one, a nearly-abandoned sketch of a substantially different pose of Tina leaning far forward trying to free her trailing foot from the mud, but at that stage, I hadn't even put clothes on the figure before abandoning the pic. While looking for something to draw, I spotted this one and thought I could make something of it--just not in that exact pose. So I re-sketched the original pose in a less-extreme angle and the result is what you see here. Even though I didn't draw her hair in front of her ears like in some of the sketches preceding this, I think whatever improved those pics has translated here too. Maybe its being influenced by ponies. Hmm... :D
I spent a little time cleaning up the pencils for this pic, but it'll likely be moved to scraps once the color version is done.
