You are a true inspiration. You make me believe in myself. You make me believe and know that I am capable of big things. You even make technical observations that make me realize... "Hey, there is NOTHING keeping my from giving this a shot."

Multi-layer shading is something I've really wanted to bully myself into. And I knew a long time ago that when I drew Solstice, she would be glowing golden. Your drawings inspired me. The expressiveness on your characters, the depth of the layering on some of your more intense drawings... I know I've used the word "inspire" a lot, but it truly is an inspiration. It makes me want to push myself. It shows me what can be done.

Thank you, my sister. With every drawing I complete, I just want to draw more and more. And people like you... make EVERYTHING in life worthwhile.

Ok ... I won't write as much as Dawn haha, but I defenitley couldn't let this go without acknowledgeing your work on this :) it turned out beautiful! Now I'm not an artist that draws, I'm a fantastic musician and mediocre poet, so I'm really just a normal person who looks at art, I can't go into detail and point out certain details about methods you used to make this. But in a way I am what your professional audiance/gallery viewers would be like, and I give you praise on this because it truley did catch my eye and full attention

You play music, too? May I ask what you play? I haven't had an instrument in years, but I used to play several, and even do a little composing on the side.

Yea, I play all then saxophones, soprano, Alto, tenor, and bari.
My main is the bari, I placed first at districts 2 years in a row now and I made district jazz just last night haha
I'm still being considered for All-State jazz currently

I also know how to play flute, clarinet, and trumpet, however they are not my main and I'm only at an elementary level on them.

I own several music softwares that I often compose my own stuff on (mostly dub-step)

Wow, you even play the soprano sax? I know that saxes all use the same fingering and it's just a matter of transposing the written scores, but next you'll be telling me that you even play the elusive BASS saxophone.

I learned the fundamentals of the saxophone (starting with the tenor), but without one of my own to practice on, I basically lost that knowledge.

No, for me, I was all about brass; mostly low brass. Jazz was a big favorite of mine, too. When I was still part of my school's jazz combo, I used to play the valve trombone in it. Which I know sounds like an odd choice for it (and yes, I could play the slide trombone just fine), but man, you should have heard the improv solos the valve trombone was capable of belting out. If ever I got an instrument again, I'd want it to be a valve trombone.

Since I have a certification in radio and television broadcasting, I have a good familiarity with audio editing programs. But strangely enough, I learned how to use my very first one (Audacity) completely on my own, since I used to play a lot of music video games, and I used to edit mps song files for Stepmania, a DDR simulator.

Long tangents aside, music is a part of my life. I wish I could still be the part of a music group, but... who knows. Maybe we'll see where the chip fall someday. I know that these days I live in an apartment, so practicing trombone at home isn't as viable as when I lived in a house. Ah, well. I think I have even more of a passion for this, now. Music will never cease to be an integral part of my life, but this makes me very, very happy. Like I'm soaring in the skies above.

I don't know a lot about brass though, I'm more of a wood wind person obviously
I have tryouts for the Navy fleet band and the Army field band coming up soon this spring.... so, music is what I've decided to do with my life:)

If you go back in my gallery you can find some of my music I've made, they were the first things I ever posted on here... I made them a long time ago and so they are not nearly as good as what I make now, but it can give you a good idea:)
I stopped posting music due to my fear of pirating, I don't post my music anywhere on the web now cause of that.
You should look into getting a horn and begin playing again. Even if your not a pro , you should NEVER stop playing. It's a great stress release and It's always fun!! It always hurts me when I hear of people who used to play and tell me they quit,

I will probably play again sometime. There are only three really pertinent concerns.

1: Instruments cost money.
2: I don't know of any bands to join around here.
3: I live in an apartment, so practicing might be pretty hard.

Well yea, i am fantastic ... best in the district.
Also if you think highly of yourself, you will be better by nature just because of your confidense level.
Ill also be a professional musician in less than a year, so yes. I AM GREAT!

It's not narcissistic, It's called positive thinking and being proud of yourself and your accomplishments and having high self esteem

Anyways, music is me so I take it very seriously, and think highly of myself with it.

It's a she (though no worries, as I didn't really give any indicators), but I am very grateful for that. I feel like every time I work on a drawing and see it come to live I am doing just that. =)
