Yes, I admit, it has been a long time since we last saw anything of our dear Mara and Celeste! Of course, since November 2011 I have been working on the large novel for these two, so that has been taking up quite a bit of my time, and it required a bit of getting used to writing the short stories for them again as well. And there's been a lot of other things been happening to me personally in the mean time as well, like finding myself in the hospital suddenly and all that =Þ
But, I'm not going to let anything keep me down, and there is hardly anything that can keep Mara and Celeste down either - especially not Celeste! So here they are again, back after a rather long hiatus!
And there's even more; a new character is introduced in this story as well! A lovely tigress taur I adopted a while ago already, and whom I, together with her snowleopard taur girlfriend, have been developing into a pair of quite interesting characters that will every now and then make their appearances in the Mara and Celeste story line, and possibly in stories of their own as well!

She is at that, isn't she? But like you said, she is part beast, so that kinda explains it a bit. Just don't cross her, she'll easily tie you into a knot
And thanks! I', glad to ge writing them again! *chuckles* Hee, and nah, don't worry; it was rather a shock initially, but it turned out to be a relatively innocent lung embolism (for as far as those can be innocent =Þ), so they just kept me in for a few days and monitoring me while feeding me blood thinning medicins, and I have to take those meds for at least six months now, but I'm feeling great. Funnily enough, I'm even feeling better than ever =~.^=

Haha! Yes indeed, I was in fact joking about that while I was in hospital, going all like: "Well, at least I'm finally getting some good use out of my health insurance now after all the crap I had with them" =Þ But yeh, it was quite out of the blue, but it's a very likely possibility this was just a one-time thing, there's no history of trombosis in my family or nothing.

And you mean the novel I started working on last November? I left it to sit and simmer for a while, but while I was in hospital I did write a few sentences to start off the next new chapter in it, so it is still coming along!

*giggles* And yup! I'm feeling great! The blood thinning meds I'm getting not only took care of the lung embolism I went into hospital for, but they're also lowering my blood pressure and eliminating my headaches!

I have seen some odd things in our driveway, Mara mused, but this takes the proverbial sachentort.
The four-wheeled apparition, cobalt blue in color, had its cab perched precariously far ahead of its front wheels. A sleek, sculpted bed led to wide fenders over the back wheels. The thing looked like it was doing ninety just sitting in Mara and Celeste's driveway.
"Mara! Hiyeeee!" Celeste burbled, looking up from under the hood of the '59 Cadillac she was working on as a fundraiser for Sammy, the young blind girl. "Tali's here!"
"Ah," Mara smiled. "So she's responsible for the UFO in the driveway?"
The white kitty snickered. "Silly skunkie! That's a Mercedes Rennabteilung!"
"Gesundheit," Mara replied. "What's that in plain English?"
The tanfurred catfemme in overalls chuckled, straightening out and waving at Mara. "It literally means 'fast transporter'. Mercedes-Benz first built one in 1955 to haul their racecars around Europe. This one is a replica our shop built."
Mara nodded. "All I see on it right now are boxes of parts." She grinned wryly. "Where's the race car?"
Celeste pouted. "Aw, Tali is being a big meanie. She won't tell me."
"What?" Tali said, putting her paws on her hips exaggeratedly. "And have you steal it out from under my nose? That is not happening." She winked.
