Sydney Rex (Syd for short) is a fourth-year Ravenclaw at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Although her mother was a Squib, her dad was a fairly powerful wizard in his own day, and she inherited his touch for Transfiguration, Charms, and even flight (though she prefers to play private Quidditch matches with teams of friends rather than for her House).

Her favorite school subjects include Charms, Transfiguration, Herbology, and Potions. Though her dream career would be to work with dragons and other dangerous magical creatures, she's planning her NEWT courses around being a Healer (focusing on finding a cure for long-term conditions such as werewolves) in St. Mungo's after she finishes school.

She is a registered Animagus. This is her alternate form, obviously. Her wand is 13 1/2" long, made of yew, and very flexible. The core is of unicorn tail hair.
