I was bored last night and wanting to mess with one of my pics, so I took this cute one of Dale, reduced it to lineart, added color, clered the lines, and drew in some shadows. It's nowhere near as good as I wish it could be, but admittedly my art program is kind of on par with MS Paint.

Better than most and you know who I am talking about.
...won't name names...
Nice, man! Looks really good! This beats the everloving shit out of my drawing skils, but still, goooood stuff.
BTW, you? Bored? <goggles for a bit> I didn't know you could be boring and/or bored!
Zounds!

Actually, I'm not sure who... That guy with the journal? In that case, certainly. He's a double putz because his own art has the beginnings of technique but completely lacks passion. Wotta dick.
And of COURSE I'm bored! My mind is like a pachinko machine! Without constant stimulation, I go fucknuts!

Eh, Pay no attention to Alfador :) All of my computer-colored art is pixelated: I just shrink it down for submission so you can't tell. Back in the beginning I tried lots of free art programs and NONE of them could properly flood-fill anti-aliased lines. Maybe they can now, but now I'm more proficient with my software than I would be with new software.
Well that's the thing! You anti-alias AFTER you color everything...often BY shrinking it down. Alex is saying that his program DOESN'T DO THAT when it shrinks!
...isn't he? *confuzzled* But yeah, pixellated is desirable when you scan in inkings and start coloring, and then you smooth it out to SHOW it unless you're going for a pixellated look or the resolution is so dense that it looks nice and smooth anyway--which has the added advantage of being crisp and sharp instead of blurry, which can happen if you antialias too much.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO IGNORE MY BLITHERINGS. I'm talking about what I know which ISN'T MUCH.

Actually, this is an earlier drawing I just colored (which is here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/325406/ )
I like his tail too, but I think I could've done his feet better.
As far as the lines, I just took the color I'd filled in the white space, reduced it by about 30-40%, thn used the fill tool. Of course, I also had to get in there with the pencil tool to make sure lines for, like, his arms wouldn't end up the same color as his shirt lines.

hey, great to see you drawing again! That's a very well done pic there. I'd like to use in the next edition of the RR calendar - how would you like the credit to read?
