Yep, calm was certainly what I was aiming for. ^^

Hmm, this makes me think of a calm lake in a boreal forest setting, with forest on each bank and past the forest in the distance there are mountains.
As well, there is a light snowfall over the area.

Very interesting that you should mention that, for it's strikingly similiar to the place it's made for. Without spoiling my story, the area is a beach with a huge cliff behind it. There are icebergs in the distance on the blue waters, yet the water is warm. The night is partly cloudy with a massive moon that seems to be dipping into the horizon. As for the cliffs, on the top of them is an observatory; further down is a city consiting of all time up to the present, surrounded by a lush jungle. In the distance are mountains which have their own theme I'm in the process of composing. XD

The place sounds pretty sweet. I'll be looking forward to the mountain portion :P
