After Mikhail finally finds his way out of Auburnwood Forest, he finds himself in scenic Eventide Valley, a peaceful groove carved between the forest and the Skies' Knife mountain range. At the base of the mountain range lies Cogtuth Village. Though quiet, it is extremely industrious, making many advancements in machinery thanks to a massive vein of raw materials in the nearby mountain range. Here, Mikhail meets several interesting new characters and his adventure can truly begin.
Pell - While a progidy of mechanics isn't unheard of in Cogtuth, very few people can match Pell's level of skill, even after years of study and practice. There's not much she can't fix, and if she can't fix it, she can easily make a new one in no time flat. She works as a scrap gatherer, parts harvester and just a general all around fixit kinda girl.
Rutt - Rutt runs a mechanical scrap shop. While a lot of people in Cogtuth are mechanically inclined, not too many of them can create parts from raw materials. Rutt's shop sells and swaps scraps, parts and, when need be, fix parts that seem unfixable. He was a dynamo back in his day, but now he's content to run his shop and share his knowledge with Pell and Gaff who work in his shop with him.
Gaff - Another progidy of sorts, he's Cogtuth's main innovator and inventor. Several of the major mechanical advancements were invented by Rutt, and Gaff is following in Rutt's footsteps. He's currently working on harnessing the natural power of steam and kinetic energy to create fantastic gizmos and gadgets.
Magel - While Magel lives far outside the village, he's still considered a resident. He has a lot of knowledge about mechanics as well as magic, and with a combination of the two, he can come up with some pretty amazing things with the people in Cogtuth. Somehow, he's able to communicate with his siblings, even though they live hundreds of thousands of miles away.
Where will Mikhail go from here? What could await him on the other side of Skies' Knife? Or under it? Or even on top? Will I ever actually start this story? Those answers and more, coming soon!
