Here's a commission I did for  thejudgedone who wanted his character, Reid, chilling against a wrought-iron fence. The character was originally a husky, but luckily, due to my art block, it ended up being all good because he changed the species anyways.

Reid the Skunk is chilling on a sidewalk corner. Smoking a ciggy admist the backdrop of Vancouver, Canada. The city background was actually taken by me when I visited Vancouver for a day last year. :) I love to use pics of my travels in my artwork.

Now, wrought-iron fences are hard to do! But thank God for tools in Photoshop! :) The original coloring job seemed pretty dull. So I decided to up it a bit and add a summery hue to it. It totally contrasts with his gloomy demeanor. Also, skunks are black, and the hue made him a bit yellow. I think that was the only drawback, but I like it better this way the the other way.
