Since these are my characters, I feel as if I am of some authority on their origins...Melissa and Melinda (They ARE two people, not one, as they're remind you nicely -- once!) are singers who have obtained some reknown, as much for their vocal talents as their unusual looks. In the world they come from, about 1% of the population is born with some sort of disctinctive feature -- although Melissa and Melinda's conjoinment is considered on the extreme end. Although this WOULD suggest that the two are sisters, they seem to possess no memories of being born this way. In fact, their past history only goes back to when the two of them were 16! This is their true dark secret (not their obvious love/affection for each other) and one they have striven to conceal.

Okay, now THAT'S out fo the way this HAS to be the most awesome piece of artwork I've ever had done for me at a convention. SarahSilver, you RAWK.
