Proteus is the second in command of Team Aves, the legendary bird group. Of course, being just freshmen, they aren't so legendary yet. Except Hera, who goes out of her way to make herself known.
Proteus has an on-again off-again relationship with Hestia, the captain of Team Nasci. It's been that way since last year when a group of bullies harassed them both and ruined what would have been their first kiss.
Though he is fairly weak, Proteus is very smart. His goal at the academy is to buff himself up so he can take on the bullies that ruined his first kiss.
