Rancorom is a Boccacoda, a heavily grounded and powerful creature. he has claimed a high mountain as his own and he guards it fiercely. He is calm and collected most of the time, as things rarely change for him on a regular basis.

He rarely leaves his mountain, even to mate, as the only female nearby is rather frightening to him. he is curious when new things come around, finding and chasing away any threats, but he is easily overwhelmed in this regard and will lose it when overexposed.

However, all of that changes when he's in rutting season. He becomes aggressive and reclusive, wanting to mate, but unable to, so he tears apart his meals and his caves instead of himself.
