It's 1990 and I'm at the Minneapolis Auto show (Unfortunately in the Metrodome this year :/ ) and this prototype Olds looked sorta neat.
These were built to show off the new Quad4 engine. At tech school we were stoked over this new engine, even if everyone thought it was five to ten years late. We knew it'd probably replace the Iron Duke 2.5 POS and we felt it couldn't happen fast enough. Unfortunately GM didn't utilize this engine near enough.
Shot with some atrocious 'FREE' Seattle Filmworks Negative film 5247 I'd gotten from a photography magazine ad. Grainy, rotten sensitivity with poor colour, it cost a fortune to develop.
Sadly I'd ordered 5 rolls and had shot them all when I found out how poor it was.

"The record breaking proved to be great exposure for Oldsmobile, and the Aerotech was used as in print ads, TV spots, and even made the rounds at various auto shows (a non-running model was fitted with a gussied-up interior for use on the show circuit). After that, however, both cars were shuffled off to a warehouse, seemingly relegated to history.
