A collab image by myself and
Retrogirl1986
I drew Percival (the rabbit) and his background, whilst retrogirl drew Clathic and hers respectively.
I find it interesting to see our different styles of drawing and colouring in the same image, makes for an interesting comparative image.

Hey! I really like your work on this image. Percival's charater is very interesting.
The hair is nice too. You've made green hair (which can look kinda nasty on some characters :P) look quite nice. I think it's because it compliments the Percival's skin/fur colour (which I believe doesn't really happen with say, human skin colours).
I also cannot enphaside how much I am enjoying the new shading technique of yours. It's really is nice and original. It's really nice to see your experimenting with different shading styles and breaking out of your own personal box :)
I also like the way your lines vary in thickness at different points (nicely noticeable on the mouth line work). It gives the impression of a calligraphy brush and its very attractive (this is made especially prominent when put next to retrogirl's single size and very thick line work)
I think think this is the best time I've seen you draw in profile. Drawing directly from the side can be quite hard to get right and what you've done looks good. However, I think you need to consider the large gap between his nose and his mouth. Think about what that would look like from the front and remember the human nose and mouth are very close (this gap between nose and mouth is not reflected in your other picture of Percival in 'BANG BANG'). This is not a unique problem though - I always have big gaps too!
I will also say that I have trouble with reading Percival's expression. My quick read of the picture tells me he is looking at her affectionately. However, when I think about it the eye seems too wide for that (although the character eyes are similar in size, retrogirl's character has the eyelid above her eye to suggest the eyes are partly closed and relaxed).
I have also just noticed is that the eyebrow seems a bit short and unnatural. I try and remind myself that eyebrows tend to start at the top of the nose. You could get away with it being a bit short but I think you needed to add just a tiny bit more length to the front .
Also consider how broad his shoulders are? If the ear hangs directly down from his head maybe the ear should bend a little upon falling upon his shoulders? Think about what the body would look like from the front (shoulders are often quite a bit wider than the head). Perhaps the ears could fall to the front of back of his body instead?
Anyway, I really am pleased with what you did here and I hope I said things that can help you next time. I look forward to seeing your future work!
