Thank you^^ yes i like the result too, and the picture isn't as good as the original, the pattern is in real much stronger, but it's hard to make a good picture if the pattern is such filigree. You can imagine, 825 layer forged to 3,5mm, and then grinded to 2,7mm.

Niiiice^^ Does it work? Has it got it's final sharping? Have you tried to slice tomatoes with it?

Not yet, the blade has already the angel and a raw edge (220) , but it haven't his final shape. Because i have to fix the handle first, it's not the best idea to rasp on the handle and work with a razorsharp blade. The final grind will follow after fixing the handel. First on a watergrinder to 4000, then on waterstones to 8000, after a leather strap with chromeoxydpolish 12000, then the last step, the sharpening on raw leather for the finish, after you can split hairs with^^

For a kitchenknife it's much better and more aesthetic to use wood, antler or horn, but i prefer wood and silver, i will use a nice piece of Goldfield or Thuja for the handle, together with some silver fittings.

^^,a simple kitchenknife made from three layers of steel (C45+filesteel+C45) starts at 300usd (simple wooden handle without metal fitting) Damask is more expensiv.

Damask, of course, as that makes them soooo much more pretty!

Yes, that's right, i hadn't many chance with my traditional artistwork, drawing painting e.t.c in 5 years just 2 commissions, now i have 12 commissions for the next time, and they are quite difficult, a lot of twisted damask and multibar works.
