Chicken soup and cheese dog biscuits
ingredients 240ml = 1 cup
- 3 or 3 1/2 cups of flour. Can be whole wheat flour or white.
- 2 cups of rolled oats
- 1 cup of grated cheddar
- 1 1/2 cups of hot ONION FREE chicken soup (I used Heinz, but a low sodium alternative is fine)
- 1 cup of hot water

Mix the dry in the oats, flour and cheese.

Mix the hot water and hot soup together.

Add the watered-down soup to the dry ingredients gradually and knead.

You most likely have to add more flour otherwise it will be far too sticky to roll out. If the dough is too dry, however, add more water.

Once the dough is at a workable consistency, roll to whatever thickness your dog prefers and cut with cookie cutters then place on greaseproof paper in a baking tray.

Cook in the oven until golden at about 350. This can take anywhere from 20-40 minutes, it depends on your cooker, so keep checking your biscuits every 10 minutes.

Once golden, switch off oven and allow to cool. This will make the biscuits harden.


NOT SUITABLE FOR LACTOSE INTOLERANT OR WHEAT-INTOLERANT DOGS.
